Salem, Oregon – Starting March 5th, bus service will return to Lakeside Village, Paradise Island, Garmin AT and the Wal-Mart shopping center on Turner Road. There has been no service to Turner Road since Salem-Keizer Transit’s system-wide changes in September of 2009.
With modification to Route 7, which serves the Fairview Industrial Park area, service to Turner Road will not require an additional cost. The bus will follow the same route and schedule on the outbound trip. On the inbound trip, the bus will take Airway Drive and Turner Road to return to the transit mall downtown.
“I’m thrilled that we are able to add service back to this area of town, especially since it comes at no additional cost,” says General Manager Allan Pollock. “We will continue to provide service in Salem, Keizer and throughout the Mid-Willamette Valley within our means and improve connectivity whenever we can.”
