Corban’s Cronrath Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

SAN TAN VALLEY, Ariz. – As announced Thursday by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), senior Erik Cronrath (Battle Ground, Wash.) became the second member of Corban’s men’s basketball team to be named Capital One Academic All-District 8 First Team for work both in the classroom and on the court in the last two seasons.

Cronrath, a 6-foot-8 forward, was one of three Cascade Collegiate Conference student-athletes to be voted as part of the Capital One Academic All-District First Team that includes Southern Oregon’s Jeff Bush and Northwest’s Michael Greene. Along with the aforementioned three CCC student-athletes, a pair of Point Loma Nazarene student-athletes – Rhett Beal and Todd Campbell – make up the College Division for District 8.

This season, Cronrath leads the Warriors in games played (24), games started (24), field goals made (131), field goal percentage (0.598), free throws made (117), free throws attempted (146), total rebounds (117), blocked shots (28), and total points scored (380). The 6-foot-8 forward also ranks second on the team in field goals attempted (219), offensive rebounds (47), rebounds per game (4.9), assists (48), steals (21), and points per game (15.8).

Due to Cronrath’s All-District first team honor, the fourth-year Warrior joins former Warrior Ian Logan (2007-11) as the only members of Corban’s men’s basketball team to advance to the Capital One Academic All-America® Team ballot since the 2004-05 season. First-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
