Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office Investigates Fatal Traffic Crash

At around 11:56 AM today, the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Parrett Mountain Rd, Newberg, on a report of two missing persons. Michael Stephen Randall, and Solomon Jennings Davis, both from Washington State, left a residence in a vehicle in the early hours of Saturday morning. They had not been seen or heard from since.

Deputies responded to the area to begin searching for the vehicle. Sheriff Jack Crabtree called for air support assistance from Clackamas County while Deputies contacted local hospitals and dispatch centers to see if anyone had contact with them. Before the plane went up, Deputies located the vehicle upside down submerged in water near the 33000 block of Haugen Rd. The Newberg Fire Dive Rescue team responded and located the two males deceased inside the vehicle. At this time, the cause of the crash is unknown and the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance from the Oregon State Police are investigating. The Yamhill County Crime Victims Assistance responded to the scene to assist in notifications of the families.
