Salem, Ore. – Salem Chamber Orchestra’s new principal conductor, Nikolas Caoile, will be featured in a special soiree on Friday, August 17 at 7:30pm, at the estate of Jack and Pamela Scott in Salem.

In addition to being a wonderful orchestral conductor, Caoile is an excellent pianist. He will perform Debussy’s Sonata for Violin and Piano with SCO concertmaster Daniel Rouslin and Copland’s Duo for Flute and Piano with SCO principal flutist Sarah Tiedemann.
Following the recital will be a complimentary champagne reception featuring desserts by Amadeus Café. The Scotts’ estate is located at 4095 Illahe Hill Rd S in Salem. Parking is available on site.
Caoile was hired as SCO’s principal conductor in May, and will conduct through 2014. Caoile is a Portland native and did his undergraduate studies in music at Willamette University. He now resides in Ellensburg, WA where he is Director of Orchestral Activities at Central Washington University and is the Music Director and Conductor of the Wenatchee Valley Symphony Orchestra.
