Yesterday at 7:29 a.m., Jefferson Fire District responded to a two vehicle crash on Ankeny Hill and Hwy 99E.
The pickup truck was turning from Hwy 99E on to Ankeny Hill when an on-coming SUV crashed into the truck before the truck was able to complete the turn. The driver of the SUV was entrapped. Jefferson firefighters extracted the patient after using the Jaws of Life. The driver of the SUV was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. Hwy 99E was closed for approximately 30 minutes.
