Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office Arrest Robbery Suspect in Welches

This afternoon detectives form the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest of a suspect from a home-invasion type robbery that occurred early this morning in Welches, OR.

Clackamas County Deputies and a Sandy Police Officer responded to a residence on East Twinberry Loop in Welches after dispatch received a 911 phone call. The caller indicated there had been a robbery at the location and someone was injured.

There was a weapon involved in the robbery and a victim was taken by ambulance to Emanuel Hospital in Portland due to injuries. The injuries are not considered to be life-threatening. At this time the victim’s name and information is not being released.

Detectives later responded to the scene and investigated throughout the morning before making an arrest. Sergio Cruz-Hernandez, 20, of Welches was taken into custody for Robbery I. He was transported to the Clackamas County Jail where he will be lodged. Additional charges are likely to follow.
