Red Lion Players of the Week for November 19th – 25th

The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period November 19-25.
Red Lion Player of the WeekWomen’s Basketball

Southern Oregon’s Melissa Sweat has been chosen the Red Lion Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for Nov. 19-25.

Sweat, a junior from Bakersfield, Calif., earns honors for the second straight week after continuing her dominant play for the Raiders making 18 of 22 shot attempts, including 5 of 8 from beyond the arc, while adding 11 rebounds and four assists in two games this week.

Honorable mention: Tess Armstrong, Oregon Tech; Brooke Randall, Eastern Oregon

Men’s Basketball

Warner Pacific’s Stephen Harris has been chosen the Red Lion Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for Nov. 19-25.

Harris, a senior from Hillsboro, Ore., continued his excellent play, registering a double-double in all four games the Knights played last week. He averaged 19 points and 11.8 rebounds while shooting 55% from the floor and 72% from the free throw line. WP won 3 of 4 games last week, the only setback was a six point loss to NAIA Div. I #1 ranked Concordia-Irvine.
