The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period December 3-9.
Southern Oregon’s Melissa Sweat has been chosen the Red Lion Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for Dec.3-9.
Sweat, a junior from Bakersfield, California, connected on better than 60 percent of her shots and averaged 23.5 points per game in a pair of weekend road victories over Simpson and Cal-State Maritime. For the season, Sweat ranks second in NAIA Div. II with a 66.7 shooting percentage and fifth in three-point percentage at.514, while ranking sixth in scoring 19.7 points per game.

The College of Idaho’s Taylor Pruett has been chosen the Red Lion Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for Dec. 3-9.
Pruett, a junior from Arroyo Grande, California notched his third double-double of the season in a victory over New Hope Christian with 19 points and 13 rebounds. In addition, he recorded 5 blocked shots and was a perfect 6-6 from the foul line.
