2012 Shop with a Cop program was held this morning at the South Salem WalmartOur Shop with a Cop program is often viewed as an opportunity to brighten the holidays of children in need but each year it is clear that these children are brightening the holidays for the adults as well. This year was no different with the children who often selected gifts not just for themselves but to give to others,  to the young girl who chose art supplies not because she wanted to be an artist, but so she could make nice Christmas cards to send to the families in Connecticut.

Law Enforcement for Youth wants to thank all of the volunteers that contributed to this event, all of the community members that made donations and to all the law enforcement agencies who participated. A special thanks to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Oregon State Police, Salem Police Department and Keizer Police Department who all have a representative on our Shop with a Cop coordination committee.

If you or your business would like to support this or other Law Enforcement for Youth programs donations can be made year round on-line at www.lawenforcementforyouth.org or by mail at 4676 Commercial Street SE #374, Salem, Oregon 97302.
