KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech jumped out 9-0 to set the tone and then held Northwest Indian College to just three first half field goals, as the Lady Owls secured a 48 points win in tonight’s exhibition basketball contest.
Leading 45-11 to open the second half, the Owls would methodically pull away to earn a 76-29 victory.
The Owls hit for a 47.6% clip (30-for-63), while holding the Eagles to just 20% shooting (11-of-55). Tech would outrebound their opponent 52-29, while recording 23 assists in the game.
All 13 players scored in the game with Karissa Dixon taking team-high honors with 11 points. Dixon added 8 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 assists in just 10 minutes. Freshman Megan Whetstone followed with 10 points and 7 rebounds, while Karly LeVeque registered 9 points and Nicole Aboumrad 8 in the win.
Tanesha Lane led the Eagles with 7 points while Rachone Quasala grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds.
Oregon Tech resumes Cascade Conference play when the Owls host No. 22 College of Idaho this Friday and No. 10 Eastern Oregon University on Saturday.
