Yesterday at about 9:00 pm, Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a report of a shooting in the area of SW 170th Avenue and SW Vendala Park Lane, in the community of Aloha. One man was shot in the back as he walked along SW 170th Ave. He is currently in critical condition at Emmanuel Hospital.
The Washington County Interagency Gang Enforcement Team (IGET) was called in to investigate the shooting. Witnesses reported seeing two Hispanic males in their 30’s running from the scene. They were both wearing dark blue colored clothing. No further description is available at this time. Witness statements lead investigators to believe that this incident is gang related and not a random shooting.
