The Gresham Police Department, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public’s help in solving a homicide that occurred in Gresham earlier this year.
On Sunday March 10, 2013, at 6:42 p.m., Gresham Police responded to the report of shots fired in the area of the 1400 block of NE Paropa Court. Officers arrived in the area and found 23-year-old Shane Brumbaugh suffering from a gunshot wound. Brumbaugh died at the scene, which is where he lived.
Officers searched the neighborhood for possible suspects but did not locate anyone. Detectives from the East County Major Crimes team responded and began an investigation into the shooting.
Detectives learned that the suspects arrived on foot and fled into a vehicle after shooting Mr. Brumbaugh.
The possible suspect vehicle is described as a smaller silver four-door, possibly an import. It may have been driving erratically immediately after the shooting.
Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in this case, or any unsolved felony, and you can remain anonymous.
