Lost Skier Found Submerged in Creek West of Ski Bowl Resort

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office is sad to report at approximately 7:15 pm the body of a male skier believed to be the subject we have been looking for was located.  The subject was found submerged in a creek near Highway 26 west of the Ski Bowl Resort.

Mary Owen Found on Mt. Hood

Today at 10:02 am, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office’s rescue efforts were successful in locating Mary Owen.  Ms. Owen was spotted by a helicopter flown by the Oregon National Guard that joined the search this morning.  Ms. Owen was hoisted into the helicopter and due to her injuries she was taken directly to Emmanuel Hospital in Portland, OR.  Ms. Owen was alert but had frostbite and a possible fratured ankle.

Salem Police Investigating Missing Person

Update: Roxanna Long has been located safe. She was found in the 2200 block of Brooklake Rd NE by Marion County deputies at approximately 4:30 pm on February 17.
Salem, Ore. – The Salem Police Department is seeking assistance in locating a 28-year old Salem woman who may be being held against her will at an unknown location.

The body of a deceased person tentatively identified as a Klamath Falls-area man missing since December 2012 was found early Wednesday afternoon near where his car was located abandoned December 23rd on a spur road north of Keno, Oregon.

Body of Missing Kayaker Recovered This Morning

The body of 59 year old Sharon Mangan was located on the edge of a slough at Minto-Brown Island Park this morning at about 10:20.  Mangan was reported missing to the Salem Police Department Thursday evening, but had last been seen alone Tuesday at the park with her kayak.  Mangan was a resident of Salem and an employee at the Oregon State Hospital.

Death Investigation – Investigators are Asking for the Public’s Help to Positively Identify the Victim

Oregon State Police (OSP) and Tillamook County Sheriff’s Office are still on the scene investigating the suspicious death of an unidentified adult female found late Friday night along Highway 6 about eighteen miles east of Tillamook. The highway remains closed due to the ongoing investigation that now also involves the OSP Forensic Services Division and scene reconstructionists. An autopsy is tentatively scheduled for Sunday at the State Medical Examiner’s Office to assist with determining the manner and cause of death.

Search for Missing Klamath Falls Man in Klamath County Suspended

The search for a missing Klamath Falls-area man by Klamath County Sheriff’s Office Search & Rescue (SAR) and Oregon State Police (OSP) was suspended after two days due to weather and deep snow at the site where his vehicle was found Sunday parked abandoned on a spur road off Clover Creek Road north of Keno. Despite the suspended search, the investigation is continuing into the whereabouts of Robert Lear, age 39, and anyone with knowledge of his current location is asked to call OSP.
