CORVALLIS, Ore. – Ruth Hamblin’s 16 points led five Beavers in double figures to go along with her six rebounds and four blocks and some stifling OSU defense held Saint Martin’s to just 20.4 percent shooting as the Oregon State women’s basketball team cruised by the visiting Saints, 84-36, on Sunday afternoon in Gill Coliseum.

Beavers Earn Tie With No. 4 UC Santa-Barbara

SPOKANE, Wash. – It looked as though the Oregon State men’s soccer team would have to take a bitter dose of its own medicine when the No. 4 UC Santa-Barbara Gauchos scored in the final minute of the first half to take a 2-1 lead. Last week in the season opener against Sacramento State, it was the Beavers who scored in the final seconds of the half to take the lead and the momentum on their way to a 4-0 win.

Two Former Beavers Get Call-Ups From National Teams

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Two former Oregon State men’s soccer players have been selected to compete for their respective national teams in matches Wednesday. Forward Alan Gordon, currently of the San Jose Earthquakes, will play for the United States at Mexico. Ryan Johnson, a forward for Toronto FC, will play for Jamaica against El Salvador at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C.

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – Women’s soccer coaches within the Pac-12 have voted Oregon State fourth in the conference’s annual pre-season poll. Results of the poll were officially released Monday after a dozen coaches within the league submitted their ballots over the weekend.

Beavers Outlast Trojans in Overtime Thriller
