Yamhill County Taking Back Unwanted Prescription Drugs April 27th at Mcminnville Walgreens

On April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public its sixth opportunity in three years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.  Bring your medications for disposal to Walgreens at 603 SW Baker St, McMinnville, Or 97128.  The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

Fatal Traffic Crash – Highway 18 East of Mcminnville

Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into Tuesday night’s fatal traffic crash that resulted in the death of one person and injuries to two others along Highway 18 about two miles east of McMinnville. The names of the involved persons may be released later this morning. Highway 18 re-opened about 5:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Fatal Pedestrian-Involved Traffic Crash – Highway 18 in Grand Ronde

Update: Names Released- The deceased pedestrian has been identified as Judi Gnade, age 57 from Grand Ronde

Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into the death of an adult female pedestrian struck by a pickup Monday afternoon on Highway 18 in Grand Ronde. The pickup’s driver was uninjured and is fully cooperating with investigators at the scene. The victim and driver names will be released Tuesday.

McMinnville 2 Year Old Falls From Second Story Window

McMinnville, Ore. – On August 1st, 2012 at at 7:50 PM McMinnville Officers were dispatched to SE Ford Street in reference to a child falling from a second story window. Upon arrival the officers found that the victim, a 2 year old child, was being treated by medics and transported to Willamette Valley Medical Center for further evaluation. The child lives with his parents, at the listed location. According to initial assessment he did not sustain any serious injuries.

McMinnville Man Arrested for Firing Gun During Disturbance

McMinnville – Friday at about 9:35pm, Yamhill Communications received several 911 calls reporting a man with a gun in the parking lot of Davison’s Auto Parts, 1717 NE Baker Street. Callers reported the male fired one round during the disturbance. It was not believed that the round was fired at any person or property, but the investigation continues.
