Monmouth, Ore. – The Historic Gentle House at Western Oregon University will host a Haunted House fundraiser on Tuesday, Oct. 30, from 7 to 10 p.m. Attendees will take a self guided spooky tour of the home, and will receive free candy. Admission is $5 for general admission and $3 for students with an ID. All proceeds go towards the restoration, maintenance and promotion of this historic home, which is administered by the WOU Foundation and Friends of Gentle House volunteer organization. Not recommended for small children.

Four adults received a phone call from neighbors at approximately 8:30 p.m. Friday night that their home in the 600 block of Ash St SE in Dallas had caught on fire. They arrived home to find the firefighters and police there. Of their three dogs, only one survived.
