PORTLAND, Ore. – An all-day town-hall-style meeting at Portland State University today gathers experts who are concerned about climate change to discuss what the Northwest states are doing about it. Their framework is the new draft National Climate Assessment (NCA), a summary of what’s happening with weather patterns and how they’re affecting people and wildlife.

Fugitive Paul Winklebleck Still Wanted Three Years After Kidnapping Two Portland Women

Paul Evans Winklebleck is wanted on felony warrants for kidnapping, criminal impersonation, assault, attempted rape and robbery

The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for your help in locating a wanted felon. Crime Stoppers originally asked for the public’s help on this case in March 2010.

Statistics From Wednesday’s Multi-Agency Enforcement Effort by OSP, PPB, MCSO and CCSO

As part of the two-week statewide effort targeting texting, speeding and proper safety belt use, police officers from Portland Police Bureau (PPB), Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), and Oregon State Police (OSP) teamed together February 20th for a multi-agency joint traffic enforcement effort. Over 30 police officers focused enforcement efforts along SE 82nd Avenue, Interstate 205, and Interstate 84 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. during which officers conducted over 200 traffic stops and issued 268 citations and 58 warnings.
