Two people are in custody Thursday evening along Interstate 5 in the Tualatin area after an attempt to elude Oregon State Police (OSP) and Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) in a stolen vehicle northbound on Interstate 5. The two unidentified Hispanic males were turned over to MCSO deputies for further investigation and consideration of charges.

A nineteen year old Hillsboro man avoided any injuries today when he lost control of his car while entering onto northbound I-5 at Nyberg Road in Tualatin. About 1:10 PM on Thursday, February 21st, Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers from the Portland Area Command responded to a two car collision on northbound I-5 under the Nyberg overpass.

Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing the investigation into the apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound injury to an adult male during a traffic stop along the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 near the Nyberg Road overpass in Tualatin. The man is currently in critical condition at Oregon Health & Sciences University and his name will be released Wednesday.
