On April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public its sixth opportunity in three years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.  Bring your medications for disposal to Walgreens at 603 SW Baker St, McMinnville, Or 97128.  The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

Serious Injury Traffic Crash – Highway 47 South of Gaston in Yamhill County

Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing the investigation into Sunday morning’s alcohol-involved serious injury crash that occurred along Highway 47 south of Gaston in Yamhill County. Both involved drivers were transported to a Portland-area hospital for treatment.

Fatal Traffic Crash – Highway 18 East of Mcminnville

Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into Tuesday night’s fatal traffic crash that resulted in the death of one person and injuries to two others along Highway 18 about two miles east of McMinnville. The names of the involved persons may be released later this morning. Highway 18 re-opened about 5:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office Investigates Fatal Traffic Crash

At around 11:56 AM today, the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Parrett Mountain Rd, Newberg, on a report of two missing persons. Michael Stephen Randall, and Solomon Jennings Davis, both from Washington State, left a residence in a vehicle in the early hours of Saturday morning. They had not been seen or heard from since.

Newberg-Dundee Police Asking for Public’s Assistance in Locating a Missing Adult

Missing: James Phillip Bare,56

Newberg, Ore. – Tuesday, 7/24 – at approximately 18:30, Newberg-Dundee Police officers were called to do a welfare check on James Phillip Bare,56 at his residence located at 406 S Grant Street, Newberg, OR. Neighbors reported they had not seen Bare for approximately 2 weeks. Neighbors indicated this was out of the ordinary as they normally see Bare walking his dog daily. Officers arrived and found Bare’s only known vehicle parked in the driveway. Officers knocked on the door and could hear a dog barking inside, but received no answer at the door. Officers were able to gain entry and found Mr. Bare’s dog inside with a bag of food that had been intentionally left open for the dog. Judging from the condition of the house, it was clear the dog had been locked inside the home for quite some time.
